About Koda
A tool that helps you say what you mean, in the moment you need to say it.
Koda stands for Knowledge-based Output & Dialogue Aid. AAC has existed for decades, but most tools haven't kept up — with the diversity of people who need them, the languages they speak, or the dignity they deserve. Koda was built to close that gap.
The Problem We're Solving
Built for the Few, Not the Many
Most AAC tools cost $150-$300 and only run on iOS, placing them out of reach for the majority of people who need them.
A lot of Languages Left Behind
AAC support is overwhelmingly English-first. Millions of people who communicate in other languages have been forgotten entirely.
The Gap Nobody Designed For
There's a whole spectrum between "fully verbal" and "non-verbal." People who can speak but struggle to elaborate have been largely ignored by existing tools.
Modern Design
Clinical grids and primary-colour buttons were designed for children. Adults using AAC deserve a tool they can pick up in public without embarrassment.
Our Mission
Every person deserves to be heard: in their language, on their device, in their own voice
Accessible
Free, web-based, works on any device.
Dignified
Designed for all ages to use with confidence.
Intelligent
Leveraging technology responsibly to help people communicate faster.
